Join us in acknowledging Survival Day, a time to reflect on the resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, honor their enduring cultures, and deepen our understanding of what this day means for all Australians. This practice invites mindfulness, unity, and respect.

This 90min class includes: 
  • Sangha - re-educating on Indigenous History Western Australia, relative to your boodja (country, home) you will learn Indigenous Peoples history on Broome Pearling, 1901 1%, & Pilbara Miners strike 1946. 
  • Easy Flow yoga practice - practice in a chair or on a yoga mat, this class supports both.
  • Loving-kindness meditation taking inspiration from western Buddhist teacher and Psychologist Tara Brach. 
  • Share plates & tea - bring a share plate, or enjoy what others bring, I'll bring the tea and we can enjoy a yarn together.

⭐️ ❤️‍🔥 This is a ticketed event (you will need to purchase a Yoga Maya Single Class) and all monies from this class go to the mob
 
  • 🖤 Black: Representing the Aboriginal people of Australia.
  • 💛 Yellow: Representing the sun, the giver of life and protector.
  • ❤️ Red: Representing the red earth, the land, and the spiritual connection to the country.
In solidarity and allyship we are substituting this public holiday to invite you to engage with us to "Recognise your privilege and the fact, that Jan 26 is painful day for First Nations people and marks the beginning of the dispossession of land, violence, massacres and genocide for Community."
