Yoga Maya’s children’s yoga classes teach movement and mindfulness for primary school aged children in a safe and caring learning space, encouraging body and breath awareness.
Classes are non-competitive, fun, and play-based promoting confidence, social-emotional development, concentration, and resilience.
Classes draw on trauma- sensitive evidence-based practices helping your child increase strength and flexibility of mind and body.
Children learn that their breath is always with them and can be their best friend. All children are welcome.
About Kerry:
Kerry is a mother of two and hands-on grandmother of five.
She is passionate about the well-being and development of children and the benefits mindfulness-based practices can bring.
Kerry is a Yoga Australia Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher and 350hr Level 1 Hatha Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, with a University Diploma for Education Assistants Special Needs from ECU. She has a Working With Children Check, National Police Clearance and current First Aid certificate.
